Artist Bio:

Born in Torino, Italy, Lanzolla  moved to Seattle in 1987 where he lives and makes his art.  With an accent of myth, tradition and civilization he investigates human experiences through spiritual and physical changes, themes which have always influenced his work . Using the technique called "Sgraffito" to paint, scratch or carve on clayboard or slabs of clay sculptures, he carves away or adds color using painter knives and pottery brushes.
